Social programs and sights in Frankfurt - Part 2

Last time we introduced the Alte Oper to you. Today you will learn more about the Frankfurt Römer, the Old Nikolai Church and the Iron Bridge.

After your conference in Frankfurt, you set off and walk into the old town of Frankfurt. Arriving at the Römerberg, you will see the Frankfurt Römer in front of you. The building may look familiar to some people. If Eintracht Frankfurt wins a cup, it will be celebrated on the balcony with the fans.

Frankfurter Römer - the town hall of the city of Frankfurt

The stepped gable façade makes the Roman unique. The seat of the mayor is located in the premises. Around the Römer you will find various restaurants.

Old Nikolai Church - late gothic church Frankfurt

From Frankfurt's Römer you have a direct view to the Old Nikolai Church. Together with the half-timbered houses on the Römerberg you have countless photo motifs in front of you. If you are interested, you can also visit the church.

Eiserne Steg - pedestrian bridge with panoramic view

From Römerberg you walk in the direction of the Main. You will arrive directly at the Eiserner Steg. The view of the Frankfurt skyline is fantastic. The pedestrian bridge connects the city center with the other side of the Main. This is how you get to Sachsenhausen. A hip district of Frankfurt.
