Meetings in Essen

Directly between the cities of Duisburg and Dortmund, you will find the large city of Essen in North Rhine-Westphalia. Like Duisburg, the city has become known for its trade in goods and its industrial culture.

Zollverein - Famous coal mine

The landmark of Essen, the nationally famous Zollverein coal mine with its tower. Also known, among other things, as the Eiffel Tower of the Ruhr region, the works was one of the largest from 1851 to 1986. Today it is an architectural and industrial monument and was even made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001. It is a beautiful sight and also a popular event location. A great recommendation from us!

Villa Hügel - Museum with History in Essen

Villa Hügel is also very well known because of the Krupp family of industrialists. The villa is a museum and at the same time a popular event location in Essen. Countless rooms in the villa can be visited and also booked as a location. The villa is famous because it was built by Alfred Krupp between 1870 and 1873. Alfred Krupp expanded the family business, which is now known as ThyssenKrupp, from a small company to the largest industrial enterprise at the time. He then used the profits to build himself the villa in a prime location on 28 hectares of land with 8,100 square metres of living space in 269 rooms.

Directly below the land you will find Lake Baldeney. A very well known and popular Ruhr reservoir for bathing, fishing and also to make round trips.
